Aimee Hookstra

My interest in the beauty industry was piqued after my first personal eyebrow wax when I was 11-years-old. Years later when I moved to Austin I found myself suffering with adult acne and committed myself to learning everything I could about skincare, so that I could help myself and others obtain healthy and happy skin.

I graduated from Vogue College in 2005 with an Esthetician degree and landed my first job at milk + honey spa — as Lead Esthetician I helped open two locations of this popular Austin spa. In 2008 I took a position at The Waxing Studio and perfected my 15 minute Brazilian Wax, In 2012 I opened (and co-owned) Hey Gorgeous Waxing and Skin Studio, and for the next eight years rose to a new level of customer service and customized skincare solutions.
